Daniel Lane has worked in the financial sector for over 20 years, beginning his career as a Financial Adviser, later expanding his qualifications to Financing. Daniel founded Lane Financial in 2013, leading a team of financial experts who take a holistic approach to helping families and individuals reach their goals. Daniel’s strength is knowing his clients, understanding their story and goals, then working with his team to achieve this. Daniel is passionate about problem solving and working through complex scenarios. He aims to demystify the process and clients appreciate his down-to-earth approach. Daniel lives with his young family on the Mornington Peninsula, and enjoys an outdoor lifestyle and good food!

Morgan Collins began his career in the financial sector as a client services officer and running his own Paraplanning company, where he developed an aptitude for strategic and technical advice. He then moved into Financial Advising full time at one of Australia's most prestigious private wealth firms. Morgan was lead to Lane Financial in 2018, following his passion for an integrated team approach to wealth management. Morgan’s strength is in his relationships with clients, and his in-depth understanding of financial strategy, ensuring the advice he presents is clear and comprehensive. Morgan lives locally in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, and enjoys travelling to remote spots with his family to get away from it all!

Courtney Hill joined the Lane Financial team in 2021 as a Client Services Officer, whilst completing her university studies. Courtney has completed a Bachelor of Commerce as well as a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning. Courtney has commenced her Professional Year, in which she is training to become Financial Adviser under the mentorship of Morgan Collins. On a typical work day you will find her managing the front desk, providing administrative support and contributing to client meetings. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys travelling, and spending time with her family, friends and spoilt puppy.

Owen Millwood has worked in the finance industry for 20 years, beginning in banking and naturally progressing to finance broking. Owen joined the Lane Financial team in 2020, quickly becoming our lead finance broker. Owen’s strength is in his honest communication and strong relationships, he has a passion for supporting his clients to progress and succeed in their financial journey. Clients appreciate Owen’s thorough approach and ability to take the stress out of getting finance, making it a seamless experience for them. Owen lives in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, he spends his weekends cheering on his children playing sports.

Melanie Lord has worked in Financial Planning for over 24 years, completing her Bachelor of Economics and Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. Melanie has worked in both small business and large multi-national companies, joining Lane Financial in 2021. Melanie supports Morgan Collins in providing Financial Advice as a Paraplanner. She prepares Statements of Advice documents, financial modelling and projections, strategy development, and reviews for clients. Melanie’s strength is her unparalleled technical knowledge and ability to provide this information in an easy to understand format. Away from the office, Melanie is a proud mum to two school age kids which keeps her very busy.
